Protein expression & purification

Our service for the expression and purification of your desired protein

  • Expression in E.coli, from flask culture scale to 30 l fermentation

  • Purification by e.g. gel filtration, IE/HIC chromatography, affinity chromatography

  • Dialysis in customer specific buffer/lyophilisation

  • Quality control: e.g. host cell protein ELISA, endotoxin detection

  • Antibody purification (on request): Positive-/negative immunoadsorption/
    cross-adsorptions

Protein modification (on request)

Enzymatic or chemical modification can be required to reduce undesired non specific effects or to improve sensitivity. Features include:

  • Fab cleavage

  • F(ab‘)2 cleavage

  • Blocking of functional groups

  • Crosslinking for immunization

Protein conjugation (on request)

Standard procedures are established for the conjugation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, Fab and F(ab‘)2 fragments, antigens and peptides to:

  • Biotin (conjugation to different functional groups: -SH, -NH2, carbohydrates)

  • Digoxigenin 

  • Fluorochromes (e.g. FITC, rhodamine, Cy dyes, phycoerythrine)

  • Enzymes (peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase, ß-galactosidase)           

  • Carrier proteins for immunization
