The superparamagnetic hyBeads® Streptavidin are designed for direct and indirect magnetic separation and purification of a wide range of target molecules (e.g. nucleic acids, antibodies, proteins, lectins and carbohydrates).

hyBeads® Streptavidin are composed of hydrophilic, cross-linked, chemical polymer and respond to magnetic fields without magnetic memory for highly efficient and rapid isolation of target molecules.

    The ligand Streptavidin, with its four identical subunits each containing high affinity binding site for biotin, enables the magnetic separation and purification of almost any biotin-linked target molecule.

    Specifications:

    Bead size 1.52 μm (range 0.8 - 3.0 μm)
    Iron content (Magnetite) 50 - 60 % (w/w)
    Biotin binding capacity > 1,300 pmol / mg beads
    Protein binding capacity 30 - 40 μg / mg (biotinylated BSA)
    pH tolerance 4 - 10 (if tolerated by target molecule)
    Salt tolerance 0.01 - 3.0 M NaCl (if tolerated by target molecule)
